Several years ago, Elijah Irby had the opportunity to travel to a number of cities in West Africa for business, and was awe-struck by the energy, promise, and potential of the region. He decided to start a company that would assist U.S. companies in exporting to this vibrant market in order to stay connected to the continent and foster friendships with individuals on both sides of the Atlantic.

Fulgor was started in 2020 to serve as an outsourced export manager, particularly for small and mid-sized U.S. businesses with little exposure to the more esoteric, yet lucrative global markets. The company's initial focus is the export of wine and other goods to Nigeria, with plans to cover West Africa more broadly.

Elijah holds an MBA from Chicago Booth and a BA from Middlebury College. He has a background in finance and technology and a passion for international trade. He lives in Westchester with his wife and daughter.
